The Vitera MedWare Auto Update feature is available for versions 7.8 and higher.

For customers that are using a version older than 7.8, you must download software from the Vitera support website. If you require additional information about updating, or if you are installing for the first time, refer to the Vitera MedWare Installation Manual in the Vitera MedWare Library which can be accessed from the Content Tab located below the Vitera Healthcare Solutions logo. Choose 'Vitera MedWare' from the dropdown picklist. Suggested keywords search is "MedWare upgrade".

Vitera Health Network:

Vitera is pleased to announce the general availability of our new Vitera Health Network v6.0 software effective April 2013. Version 6.0 requires action on your part to ensure your system is ICD-10 ready. This software is available to you at no additional charge as part of your annual support agreement with Vitera.

A few months ago, we mailed you a Vitera Health Network v6.0 upgrade package and we’d like you to disregard that package. We recently made several critical product fixes for your Vitera Transaction Services (EDI Services) which are included in v6.0 update 1. Please call Technical Support at (877) 932-6301, option 2, to request the Health Network v6.0 update 1 package. You may also create a case on the Vitera Support Center at www.viterahealthcare.com to request your new upgrade package.

If you’ve already upgraded to v6.0 using the previously shipped CDs, it’s important that you obtain and install the new media containing the most current updates. Installing the upgrade will not switch your system to use ICD-10 codes prior to the changeover date, but it is recommended that you install the software upgrade immediately so that you can focus on preparing your staff for the ICD-10 transition on October 1, 2014.

Vitera Mends:

Vitera is pleased to announce the general availability of our new Vitera Mends v6.0 software effective April 2013. Version 6.0 requires action on your part to ensure your system is ICD-10 ready. This software is available to you at no additional charge as part of your annual support agreement with Vitera. You should have received a set of 3 CDs by now. One CD for billing, one CD for VTS (EDI Services) and one CD with documentation (install instructions, etc.) Use these to upgrade your system immediately so that you can focus on preparing and training your staff for the ICD-10 transition on October 1, 2014.

If you have not received the media for your Vitera Mends upgrade, please call the support helpdesk at 877-932-6301 to request a new media to be shipped to you.
